Skip Tracing

A term commonly used by debt collectors who attend an address to find the debtor is no longer at the given address; in plain terms has done a runner.

At Ausworld Mercantile we offer a skip tracing service that will help creditors find a missing debtor or security.

The benefit of this service is to allow creditors to either recover the security or the funds owed to them. By locating a missing debtor it also helps in pursuing the matter in court allowing clients to get judgement against a debtor or recuperate funds from a debtor.

Repossessions

After all proper procedures have been followed by the client we will take over the file and send a first letter of demand and then a follow up reminder, make a phone call. If this is unsuccessful we then repossess the security (items/goods) which is under finance. Again if it is finance and not security we will, with the clients instructions commence litigations against the debtor.

Service Benefits: Commodities are repossessed from debtors that have failed to meet their obligations under a finance or lease agreement, thus insuring the clients can secure the return of their goods. Clients spend less time chasing debts and have no need to go from a debt collection firm to a solicitor for court proceedings. Plus the client can recuperate some funds and reduce their financial loss by a repossession.

This process is for collection of funds ONLY. If this is unsuccessful we then will, with the client's instructions, commence litigation against the debtor.
